The wifi symbol is not showing up and now even ethernet is. It has windows 10 and for the last couple days, it has been stuck on airplane mode. I read a thread that recommended shutting down non-Microsoft Startup Applications and Services until resolved. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron with ragtag: p76f001. I suspect it was the Startup application 'Intel Driver and Support Assistant'.
Press Fn and prt sc (Print screen) keys together. Unfortunately I did not take the detailed notes I would normally take but there were too many startup applications and services that were not needed that hook into network services so I shutdown these and a bunch of auto update applications for things I don't use. Press Fn and the key in the top row with the airplane or radio tower icon. Intel Pro-Wireless Services are suspected culprits since the app has never functioned. Also went and reviewed all non-Microsoft Services and stopped them and disabled them.īetween these two steps after a time delay my Airplane mode Icon was no longer stuck on and I can now view and connect to SSID lists again.
Finally used management of startup applications and disabled all unneeded startup applications.
